Are you opening a squegee shop? ;D
-
just have 3 different sizes as i have noticed ove rpast few weeks whilst working a small one is needed sometimes for little side windows.
-
The unger ergotec are good, one handle and you can slide any size channel in quickly and easily.
-
oops should have ordered that then.
-
Oi
you should know by now
no talking about trad gear :P :P

You will also need some towels and some scrim or Unger Microwipes, you'll also need 1 1/2" scrapers and blades, BOAB, pouches, belt. Finally, a set of 1.5m pointers
Should have gone with the Unger ergotec squeegee handle and two channels, one 6" and the other 12", then you will get three lengths from your 36" rubbers with no wastage.
I normally get the 42" rubbers as I prefer a little bit of overhang past the end of the channel.
Trad gear is still needed especially for commercial shop fronts in malls etc or on streets where access with hoses is impossible, also if you are doing insides of houses/offices.
-
To be honest, i really like working TRAD. I like the style and technique used to to do a good job, but also recognise that WFP does bring the money in quickly if used in a similar fashion.
Always room for both if you ask me ;D

Ergotech is toys'rus for squeegees. Get Ettore, or anything else for that matter. Unger is terrible.

i use both unger and ettore(b and q) and due to going through alot of rubber i find the ergotec quick and easy to use i can't be bothered getting a screwdriver out at 6 in the morning!!

Ettore do quick release handles so no messing or coming loose now

If that is quick release then yes just the same i have never used unger equipment apart from the boab (useless) i went straight to ettore stuff and liked it so never tried anything else really apart from different rubbers

They are all quite similar, i have used pulex, ettore and unger i guess its just down to personal preference. I have never had a problem with unger products though!

will be buying scrims but what is the best to get or most reasonable. I will pick towels up locally for drying off the sills etc. what is BOAB?
BOAB = bucket on a belt ?

Yes that's what they are, i have an Ettore one which is ok but can't hold more than one squeegee and an applicator at a time.
