Title: bristle type
Post by: peekeclean on February 21, 2008, 04:44:45 pm
I use a gazh2o salmon brush with medium bristle and i think its the best brush for me because bird muck and dirt are no problem with it.
Now iv got a few vikan brushes and a few brushes iv got from cleaning shops but they seem to soft for me so am i missing a point as a lot of people seem to go for softer brushes?

And keep on about splay of the bristle, why?
Can someone explain?

As iv tryed the new vikan mono and still find that to soft with to much scrubbing to get a good finish.
any advice or help?

cheers joe

Hi Joe, I think you have it in one.
We all go on about the best brush, but to get to the point of it  8) , its really the bristle and what sort you like for DIFFerent jobs. Shaving or yard brush for your face or car etc. Do you do frames, small windows or large, leaded or fascias. I have 2 dozen or so to chose from.
Splay means the brush wont stand off the glass like a wire brush or a brush with close flocked does and will splay into the corners and frames.
