Hello,
I've been asked to quote to clean a bright yellow leather suite. A 2 and a 3 seater. They look reasonably clean with no particular marks. Thing is, I'm not used to quoting for leather so could I ask that you give me ideas of what you would charge roughly?
Thanks,
Dave

Between £80 and £120 depending on how dirty it is. Even though it looks ok leather can be deceiving. Usually it takes between 2-3 hours for this.
Also test first to make sure its safe to clean.

I also take about 2-3 hours, be careful though I recently priced on phone and when I arrived it had hundreds of deep buttonholes full of 10 years dirt & grit.

by saying you're not used to quoting for cleaning leather does this also mean you're not used to cleaning leather ???
if so, before you start worrying how much to charge for your proffessional cleaning service i'd learn how to do it ;)

Everybody has to start somewhere ::)

And how did you learn to clean leather.
I learnt during a Prochem course. It took about 2mins.
Now restoration or the more finer leathers thats a difference matter.

Courses are available. It is vital that you know what type of leather you are dealing with and the correct products to use as there are so many types of finish on the market these days and serious damage can be done if the wrong products are used on the wrong type of leather.
Training for leather cleaning takes more than 2 minutes believe me!!!!
There is an enormous market for cleaning of leather suites as the percentage of leather furniture is so high.
There are great products on the market for the restoration of what you call the finer leathers. Aniline leathers are becoming more popular and the 'restorative cleaning' process that we teach is very straightforward and can have very dramatic and impressive results.

The Results are impressive indeed, i was on the LTT course at the begining of the month and was truly amazed with the results you can get with leather,
allthough saying that im not ready to attack someones suite yet ;D still praticing on old cushions etc.
But the course is well worth the money i am now a trained leataher technician 8)
