Title: She had No Teeth In
Post by: jeff1 on February 15, 2008, 06:17:05 pm
Went to price a new one today as you can see in the pictures,  Now this hasn't been done in over 3 years, so you can imagine the state they were in?
I walked around and asked her if she wanted the conservatory done as well, I was hoping she said no thanks, it was in poor condition and I had a suspicion that the only thing holding it together was the dirt, complete with poor paintwork, I was looking at possible problems.Yes please she said   :'(
Now this woman looked like Ken Dodds side kick, only this one had no Teeth  :o

I gave her the price and I thought Kens mate was going to have a heart attack, well I prayed she didn't, because if you think for one minute I was getting on my knees on the ground to give that the kiss of life, then you would have a better chance at winning the lottery and I would have had to run up and down the lanes first to make sure no one seen me.

How much she cried, I gave the price again and told her it was the first clean price, regular cleans would be X number of ££££ ooh! she said I thought it would only cost about £10 :o ::)

No problem i said you may even get it done for that price from a dole dosser or the beer brigade but if you want it done professionally and from some one with Insurance, then you have my number, I started to walk away,  I never got two steps away and she said OK that's fine, can you do it now?
1hr 10 mins later and the Job was completed, Kens Mate came out for the inspection, she walked around the property like Max Wall Lol She said I never realised they would come up so clean, big smiles on here face arms shaking with Joy, so I took two paces back just in case she wanted to kiss me.
I recon half hour next time and that's in 6 weeks instead of the 3 monthly that she originally wanted, isn't it funny how they change there minds after they see the results?

Good to see you back properly Jeff. This is a classic Jeff post. You might have heard us ruminating on declining standards.
I always underprice these- I would have done it for thirty, and took no more than forty mins possibly less.

The other thing I was thinking, these forums have become so dull, but your academy photo comp did enliven things.
Could there be more of this?
The best before and after house photo's?
This months best DIY project?

A good prize would be those ladder clamp things, or a free full listing in spic and span?

£30  (http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k23/jeffo_01/rollfunny.gif) Don't forget these type of houses are normaly out in the sticks and petrol at £5 a gallon,I don't use Hydrogen  fuel yet,  if I had a diesel car/van then I might have been tempted to syphon some diesel out of the Tractor she goes shopping in  :o  I charged her £30 just to watch me Jumping up and down and doing summersaults on the trampoline  ;D This was a first clean and that conservatory/shed was a bit of a bummer, next time I recon 30 minutes tops.

A new set of Ladder clamps are still up for grabs, Just haven't thought of any idea's Yet,  then its hopefully onto the big prize? the new hi-tec carbon pole we went on about during the last competition.
Maybe we could do a competition for the ugliest customer and I would win that one hands down, I have a custy called Kathrin, but she's just the opposite from Kathrin zeta jones, she looks more like PugWash out of the Beno  ;D ;D

hydrogen cell
Just in the process of building my own Hydrogen cell, Joe is way ahead of me with his own cell.

'O' bye the way your link does,t work. :'( can you try again? so I can have a look. ;)
Maybe if I get my Hydrogen cell up and running, I could build myself a Hindenburg  type air ship,to do the windows with?  then Kens mate won't be able to reach me  (http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k23/jeffo_01/rollfunny.gif)
