Having got a new 100psi pump and digital varistream do I have to diconnect
pump pressure switch for the two to work correctly.

Yep should have an instruction sheet with it.

Just cut off the switch wire and then wire it up according to instructions,2 go to battery and 2 go to pump.

Look under the varistream it will tell you,red+black to battery and red+black to pump.
