Title: My best piece of equipment.....
Post by: frames to panes on February 11, 2008, 08:21:17 pm
Is my cut down half of a stepladder kept inside the roof of my Despatch. No more huffing and puffing when custys forget to unlock the gate and no more bad tempered wheelspins away from the property. It really has made a big difference to my round. :D

A small piece of wood used as a wedge to level the ladders. Carefully shaped - it's been in my pocket along with scraper for more years than I can remember!

Boiled its pump in HOT WATER :o :o :o
Then....because it couldn't work....................pushed it over a balcony :o :o :o :o :o

That's pure Backpack Abuse ;D

My backpack and my ipod!

I had the straps re sown yesterday as one of them broke away from the pad. The handle was also broken. A local cobbler re stitched the whole lot and now it is even stronger than it originally was.

Best bit it cost me £5 and he did it while I waited. I gave him £10 of course. Its sad but it made my day

Without a doubt the best buy and value for money that I could not now be without is Pocket George and the Palm PDAs we run from it.

Saves me literally hours each day, instead of working through a book working out whats been done and how much money we've taken for the day, George has it done in seconds, get a report at end of week, end of month and end of year.  Even my accountant loves it.

Hi TVCS. You just cost me £50 mate. I went onto ebay to see the radio you was on about and ended up bidding on a new Roberts DAB radio. £47 instead of £100. perfect for work. Til i get it soaked :) You can buy them "now" for 49 quid, £3.50 delivery from a power seller...........Not blinkin bad,at all.

My best piece of equipment apart from my omnipole water heater has to be using Tucker brushes fitted on Ionic commercial goosenecks on most of my poles. Maybe WHEN I get my thermal hose (trial) from Gardiners, I may vote that my best piece of equipment. I may even buy one of them new telescopic carbon SLX poles if they get a good feedback from users on here.

Matt.  You really need to reduce the loading time for that site.  The pictures file sizes need to be drastically reduced.  This cam be done without any visible loss in quality (but don't over write any originals).

Matty mate those pictures are mooooosive thats why it takes so long.  You have just scaled them on the page, but the browser is still loading the whole thing.

You need to host them at the size they're displayed by resizing them

Here I've done the first two for you, just upload these two over the others (they have the same filename)

WHAT AM I DOING?!

I seem to have just helped a cobbling site.  Oh dear this forum is dragging me down.

Ok, er deep breaths, need to rebalance... EVERYONE BUY A DECENT POLE DONT 'BUILD' ONE
