I was topping up once a fortnight at a cost of about £70. My last fill up cost me £80. Also, I am working more now so that fill up seems to last more like 11 or 12 days. A bit of personal use comes out of this too. I suppose it averages out at about £6.50 a day.
MODIFIED TO PROVIDE MORE DETAIL.
My vehicle is a Renault Trafic van and has a 1.9D engine (100 dci). It contains an 800 litre tank but doesn't have more than 700 litres in it in case of overload. This van is the 2.9 tonne version (most are 2.7 tonne). Obviously mileage varies but it is about 10 - 11,000 per year.

Good post , one thing wrong with it though , it would be a great help to all of those wishing to purchase a van shortly , to know ........
The vehicle used , engine size , age , water carried .
Me for instance , VW Transporter , 2001 , 2.5 TDI ,88BHP , 425 L of water , never cost me more than £100 per month , reckon i do about 35 mpg .

About £125 per week split over 2 vans & a spare.
Just got new toyota hiace 120 so will try to get new mpg. Original is about 32mpg fully loaded with tucker 700 system every day. I would recommend toyota to anybody, i would have another if we get more work.
Ours is an 03 plate & it just has service every 12 months then of it goes.
