i was doing a house today when a led strip came of the window,i told the owner who is ok as long as i fix it i was putting alot of pressure on as they were dirty-has this happened to anyone else
-
Yip has happened to me a couple of times
I the first case i got some glue and stuck it back on, the second time it happened (different job) the householder contacted the glaziers to come out and fix it as it is really their responsibility.
These lead strips can be a nuisance.
brush soft from now on

It`s not the brush, these days the new leadlight windows are cheap and cheerfull.

when doing new custies .with leaded window .check them .first n report any defects to custies .or u can bet ur life ull have the blame for any missing or damaged lead .only once i got caught out .wont happen again
-
good tip tacky, ill be doing that from now on

One of my custies got some DIY stuff from B&Q and put it on a couple of windows,.. what a disaster! Some of it peeled off on its own about 2 months after she put it on!
We just give it a very light brush,.. still comes up ok tho.

Done the same, trouble is the ones I've pulled off seem to stretch the lead strip and smoothing it down always causes a few ripples. I just glue the down coz I just pull them off again next time (amnesia) ;D
