they pinch the clip in the right place and make it tight, you try and pinch em with normal pliers and its just dis shapes them

Use pincer pliers, cost £1.00.

As williamx says pincers, they are not pliers

i am slightly confused ;D ;D(nothing new there)if we are talking about crimps then its side cut wire clippers for me,doddle ;D......i always thought o rings were rubber washer thingys ???
-
Im confused enough as it is, if I catch Alex in tomorrow morning before he goes off out I might feel a little better about all this bleedin' connector/adaptor/hose-fitting stuff, but for Gawds sake Forpy ;D dont confuse me even more.

FORPY...i quite like that ;D any way sorry mate do you mean the little metal rings with tags on that you crush to make em grip your pipe(OOER) or something else? by the replies i thought it must be the metal rings but technically an "o"ring is a rubber washer with a circular cross section like what you have in the pre filter housings on your ro man :).......but i think you are talking about crimps and i use a pair of wire clippers but pincer pliers(aka blacksmith pliers) as posted by william x are probably better ;)what are you trying to connect?
-
they are called ear clamps ;)
-
You can use pliers for the mean time, you clamp the O ring using the part you would cut wires with.
