hi had freedom trolley for 17 months now just started having problems with varistream controller.
Has anyone had to fit new contoller or battery or pump is it easy enough to do yourself?
Spoke to adepte's engineer andrew bramley (i think)
he said could be battery or controller without looking they have offered to fit what ever needs doing unfortunately it's the time lost through work as i live in essex their in yorkshire tnt there and back £60 + while i'm having controller done might as well have pump and new battery £300 + ouch.
was thinking of trying to do myself.
anyone done any of this.
still counting the cost of xmas & all that time off due to heavy rain :'(

although i dont have a freedom trolley i think it should be easy to replace them yourself. Pure freedom do new pump and varistream for 150, just get to the box they are in and unbolt/screw... you dont need someeone else to do it for you.

whats the actual problem with the trolley whats it doing?
had problems with mine couple of weeks ago,all comes apart very easy

I think from what they say on Freedoms website that the pump and controller are easy to fit.
I would buy the two from them for £150.00 an do it myself, theres also a wiring diagram comes with it all; so that'd help.
Just unbolt wack the new kit on and hopefully away you go.
In time I plan on getting a set of spares, including new controller and pump.

Axidon to answer your question the varistream controller is being a bit tempremental.
sometimes when i go to switch on it doesn't.
after a couple of pushe's on and off it's going again was fine all day today!
i'm sure it's the controller and not battery as adepta said could be battery or controller,
Think the battery could be a bit of a git to do yourself.

check all the wires are ok, also you could undo the varistream screws and look in the back. The 4 wires are only locked from being accidentally pulled at the bottom with the four plastic bits they enter through. On the inside look on the circuit board and make sure the wires are fully pushed in and tightened into the connectors with the screws (its like a chocy block connector- which can pull off the circuit board - make sure this is fully on too).

lee i have just changed the battery on my freedom trolly was really easy i have had some wires with clips made up so i can run the trolly off of the van battery too
