Why 2 different sizes, okay one will push through more water, but in what scenario might you use one instead of the other?
Or what do you need to consider when choosing?
Thanks

Some people have problems with flow with the 6mm, but less people have trouble with 8mm, Luke

ive been using 6mm and havent had any flow problems. Its more highpressure, less flow i think. Its nice having small hose, easier to work with.

There is barely any difference in size between either............2mm! Luke

Would I be right in thinking (considering presure/flow) that it would be better to have 8mm if using fan-jets?

If there is such a big difference between 6 & 8 mm hoses, would 10mm make a vast difference?????????????????????
I'm considering trying 10mm. Perhaps I will get more waterflow allowing me to work quicker. 8mm seems too slow nowadays.

8mm is perfect,why do you need more flow what are you cleaning cars lol. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I've started cleaning high sided trucks on an Industrial estate as I was forever being asked jokingly.

But an 8mm hose will have the capacity to allow 1.8 times the amount of water through than a 6mm hose.
Cross sectional area of an 8mm hose is 50mm
Cross sectional area of a 6mm hose is 28mm.

6mm will carry more than enough water for anything you are ever going to need. The hose has very thick walls which makes it more rigid so it snakes behind you better than the bigger ID hoses. I won't say it never kinks but its a lot less prone to kinks.
If you run your pump too high you may get surging but smaller jets and turn the pump down will solve that, and you will use a lot less water in the process.

To be honest I have never tried 8mm as 6mm has always provided me with more than enough flow rate. It is also a lot lighter, as I have found out when shifting lorry loads of the stuff around the store room, I would much rather carry a reel of 6mm around and that is without the 1.8x more water inside it !
