how many days do you have to work before what you earn is beer money ;)?
I don't want to know how much you earn or what your overheads are just how long it takes to be in profit
with me I thinks its about 3 days

Its all relative.

Mark,
Or how many relatives .
I've got a son at uni,a stepson at school, a daughter who's just started work ;D and a stepdaughter BUT by far the biggest drain is my trouble and strife ;)

mark i know its all relative thats why I asked, I would think the longer in biz the lower the outgoings but new larkers would have more expences ( new machines, more on marketing etc)
I was wonder when the turning piont is, when you keep more than you pay out :)

By beer money, I presume you mean profit after you've paid a weeks overheads and drawings to pay the mortgage etc. and put food on the table. In that case it can vary between 4 hours and 2 days. The 4 hours would be open space with Dry Fusion, like I'm doing tomorrow.
Safe and happy cleaning :)

Right,
Now that all is a bit clearer I can give a better answer. HOWEVER, I do have to add that my answer was based upon how many days a month to cover the business expenses - NOT including owners drawings. So really I'm not talking about beer money - I'm just talking about money for my family! However I think this is the most meaningful answer - beacuse others would depend upon how much drawings you take and how much beer you drinkl ;D
So for me it's three days a week before I earn anything. However it is getting better and hopefully this will be down to two days soon.
Cheers

My overheads are very low, I dont have a van I use a escort estate and my wife dosent drive. so we have one versitile car.
All my gear fits in the back and some on the back seat without putting the seats back. I dont have a morgage and no kids at home, and I only do a few jobs a week, live comfortable can pay the bills suits me fine without the stress and aggro
All the best Dave.
