Due to the terrible wind and rain in January i am slightly behind, as soon as the sun comes out customers seam to forget about the past month i had 3 people ring me up asking when i am coming, that does my head in!!! moan over ;)

Guys, if a customer messes you about and breaks your terms and conditions; drop them.
I'm no window cleaning millionaire, but I promise you that is really good advice.

Spot on Tosh,
Take no prisoners I don't.

1, I would have said I have already started so it will be front only.
if they saw me before I started and said that I would say:
you didnt call to let us know but thats ok but you will be charged the 2 monthly rate next clean which is 50% more.
if they argue I would not, I just say you are booked for 4 weekly clean, we work in all weather as this does not make a differece to us as we wet all windows anyway and if I am honest the rain helps me clean because I can use less water.
can you come on the next sunny day is a customer you dont want to keep or you need to lay down your t &c's if she does not like them find a new customer to replace her.

I would leave it until she rings asking why you haven't been in ages. Tell her you've been window cleaning for regular customers only and that if she wants them done again, that it will be on your terms to include working in inclement weather and re-price it, bump it up to show you won't be taken advantage of.

Have my own little gripe at the moment. Customers says last month "are you not drying the windows off any more?". I explain I have doing them wfp since August. She says "Oh, I must have been out when you've been doing them." The previous month she was sat at her kitchen table watching me ??? Then she says "and you missed a couple of months out!." Well, I felt the blood rising. I knew I hadn't missed and had my records to show when they were done and when they were paid. I told her that I hadn't missed a clean and she just shook her head >:( Her parting comment was " I'll see what they're like when I get home." My parting comment is unprintable, but was fortunately said under my breath :) I,m due back in 10 days. Not sure how I'll deal with it. Maybe she had the painters in??

They live in their own little worlds. Reality is just an illusion.
