Geoff I think they want to hire my TM and get rid of the expensive bit (me).

I can remember Paul King saying he was going to dedicate 1 van to doing hire machines wonder if he's still doing it?

We did it a few years ago, the machine's got wrecked by the hirers, letting them overfill, breaking wands, bouncing cheques, simply not worth the hassle.

My experiences werent as bad a spencers but wouldnt do it big time again as just now and them got machine back full of dogsxxxx and chewed cable. We only do it local to past hirers who have treated us and the machines with respect.I would suggest that if you do this get a machine to hire out that is quite robust(Alan from Swindon)

Shaun

Why are you wondering about prostitutes and convicts?

Keep up with the carpet cleaning and don't hire yourself out to them!!

Shaun if you keep it small and always on your terms there is a positive in the fact you get to converse with people who need things cleaning(moving out of lets etc)and seeing them face to face. This can sometimes be turned to your advantage by offering to do the work yourself at a reasonable rate.Just empahasise how long you think it will take them to do their house and how long it would take yourself. You know yourself with a decent machine it can be hard graft but with a tiddly little hire machine quite an effort for someone who isnt used to it(dare i suggest a female)Alan

Rug Doctor cost £485 plus VAT (list price). Would need 4 or more. Thats a lot of hires and maintenance before you make money. Was a cleaner in the area tried it, he went under last year.
