I've seen quite a few variations now, ranging from :
water fed pole
water-fed pole
waterfed pole.
And anything in between.
Now which one is it? Please only reply if you know 100% for certain, and know why it is so regards to British English spelling. I'm not English, and even tho my english is okay, things like this are tricky. :)

Water fed is correct.
Waterfed is not a real word.
Water-fed is not found in any English dictionaries, but would usually be acceptable to use.
-
Ionics uses 'waterfed' poles in all their catalogues and everything. You'd think that'd be right?
Are you certain?

If you do a google search for waterfed it comes up "do you mean" water fed ;)
-
So why does Ionics use it in their brochure then?
Window cleaning academy uses water-fed poles in their advertising.
The Pro Window Cleaner magazine uses 'waterfed' poles and 'water-fed' poles in their magazine aswell!

Well that would be unprofessional of them wouldn't it? Fact is, I see it being used on so many websites, so that really makes me think.

Then again, on about half the other sites they use 'water fed pole'.
I know waterfed isn't a word, but why do so many businesses use it? Don't they have editors, that proofread and correct any mistakes?
