Title: Logo design?
Post by: Nathanael Jones on February 06, 2008, 11:50:03 pm
I want a company logo,.. something smart and flashy,.. an Ionics thermopure type man,... let's call him the Avondhu "Thermoshine" man for now,.... and a company logo that reflects some kind of vague "eco friendly" rainwater harvesting, carbon neutral kind of vibe,.. all for my new van graphics and company stationary.

Being a bit dim when it comes to design,.. I need professional help,.. but just where do I go to get this kind of thing done?????????????

you could always go along to a van signage firm, they usually will design something for you.

we got an undergraduate from Strathclyde to do ours, you could get someone from a local university to do something for you.  cheap as well as professional.

depends on your wallet nat, van sign writters can do a good job, or direct to a graphic designer (this will cost more)

depending on your budget will depend on what you get. I can have a word with someone for you, if you like for design of a logo let me know.

Did I mention I wanted it all done on a teeeney tiny budget???  ;D ;D ;D

I've seen loads of those online generic "design your own logo" sites,... and they just don't do it for me,.. so I guess I will have to pay for it to be done right.  :'(

an illustrator would be your best bet if you wanted something drawn up. it would probably cost you around £300 for a copyrighten logo. a graphic designer would be an option but an illustrator would probably achieve a better result.

White van,..

I'm toying with the word "Thermoshine" (I hope Ionics don't decide they own that one too!) With the top of the "T" extended to the "o" at an angle,.. in the shape of a pole & brush.
The "o" could be a stylised water drop maybe??
The "Thermo" should be flame coloured, and the "shine" water coloured or bubble textured maybe??

I'll have to spend some time photoshop'ing some idea's!

I've no idea at all about an eco friendly company logo yet tho,.. :'(

That was very good nathan.

But you are supposed to be advertising you and what you do, thermoshine sounds like a system. This is my big argument, the system makers advertise themselves and not us.

Go with thermoshine, it is good, but i'd like to know about the other bits.
