Julie, what are you pre-treating with? You'll get away with high PH on these most likely.

Hi thanks for getting back - I'm pre spraying with  prochem Mulit Pro which has a PH 10.5 do you think this should be ok as it just dosn't shift the grime and dirt

I think you'll need something a bit more heavyweight than that. If the tiles are not PH sensitive which is unlikely (but test anyway) I'd go for Traffic clean and rinse with extraction pro (both prochem and both high ph) and try to make sure the The pre-spray is hot. You will probably need to dilute the traffic at 1-4 and make sure you do in small sections as these environments often have very efficient air con systems so that if your pre-treatment dries out before you rinse you don't get the finish.

There are other products out there but since you are using multi pro (and the steempro) I'm guessing you have done the Prochem training in the not too distant past so this may be a good starting point.

Hi Julie

The last combination is high pH aggressive cleaning which is fine on PP tiles but could be a disaster on wool.

Try using an intank cleaner like Double Clean with hot water and if necessary spray with an acid rinse afterwards to reduce pH.

Cheers

Had the same problem. People walking straight off factory floor, grease on their boots, blue tiles become black. Used a de-greaser from local supplier, brushed in, extract with prochem fibre & fabric. Other areas treated with power-burst. You will not get them back to new and its important to pre-qualify this with the client - 'managing expectation' its called.  Also you can't use the really aggressive stuff because it might break down the bituminous backing (same stuff as the soiling = hydrocarbon products). Get it down quick and extract, repeat if necessary, dry it  quickly if  possible to reduce any wicking from the backing. Good luck!

I have always had good results on grease with powerburst alone, you can clean these tiles as aggressively as you like just steer clear of solvents, although citrus gel can be used.
