Title: Lightest pole
Post by: boshravie on February 05, 2008, 02:32:45 pm
Hi guys, I am just wondering what is the lightest pole on the market at this moment?
Ionic say that for the 60 foot pole they have the lightens which is only 7.1 kg.

Is that right?

I have just bought a superlite from Gardiners. Albeit a 51ft one so one more section for the full thing. It is incredibly light and very easy toi use. a bit fiddly at first with the sections but apart form that it is great. So many more advantages than disadvantages over the telescopic. I looked at both options too.

Some people have had problems accessing the site - myself included.  I did find that it could be done by going in via a proxy server.  It's a bit of a kludge but you can do the following (Internet Explorer).

TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS.  Click the CONNECTIONS tab.  Click LAN SETTINGS.  Tick the box that says USE AUTOMATIC CONFIGURATION SCRIPT.  In the blank box next to it, type (or paste)
http://rosinstrument.com/cgi-bin/proxy.pac
OK your way out of the menus (clicking APPLY if it's available).
What I do is just tick/untick the box as required rather than typing it all in again.  It does slow down web browsing so it's best only to use it if a site is inaccesible.  I've no idea why it works for some and not others.  I have little technical knowledge.  I just looked up what to do on the net.
Hope this works for you.

yes definitely, obviously, I'm brainwashed too.

if you knew anything about Ionics you'd know that Ionics standard poles are excel, oh did I forget to mention that they buy pole sections from a well known wfp system manufacturer.

There poles are only exel correct, and there yellow because that was there original choice i and i think i`m right in saying no one else can buy these poles in yellow.

mmm not totally sure about that although you could be right as I don't think anyone else uses yellow.  I know they buy (or at least have in the past), bought pole sections from Brodex
