Hi
I have just cleaned a very large office using hwe just wondering what other methods i could use as this was very hard work and time consuming, ive read about Texatherm and dry fusion are these systems very good i have only ever used a buffer for hard floors, how easy is it to clean in this way as i have now got to do this office walkways every 3 months
thanks nick

Nick if uou can use a buffer its just as easy.Infact you will feel hardly tired afterwards compared to knackered with hwe Alan(swindon)

You could try Dry Powder
-
You need a low speed rotary machine 150-230rpm (lower preferable).
Solutions UK do Charly Super Pads - only need 2 working at a time
-
Nick,
try encapsulation, it will cut your time in half , it will give you great results on office type carpets.
dry fusion, seen it working not impressed as for texetherm cant comment .
encap is now a very usful tool to have in your armory

could you get a reasonable result with a shampoo brush on a rotary or would you need pads or a cimex type machine?
I was thinking of trying this on office tiles.
-
thanks for replys gives me something to think about before i go back in 3 months
-
Mike,
personaly ,i prefer to use the brushes on the cimex as opposed to the pads . I find the brushes just as effective ,and the pads do tend to distort a little at times even though the pads are designed for low profile.
Sorry, I cannot give you an answer regarding the shampoo brush on rotory as I have only ever used the cimex, imho i would say the results would not be as effective with just a rotory, having said that it would perhaps be worth experimenting and see for yourself.
good luck

I'm going to give it a go with a Client I'm doing a maintenance clean and see how it turns out.
Which one do you recommend and I'll get some?
-
Mike,
not sure what you mean " which one do I reccomend " if you mean the encap product itself , I
was using an ecap product from Bray chemicals , not sure were you will get it from now though,
M. halliday may be able to put you in the picture regarding bray, I am at presently using cimex, own encap product, available from truvox, to be honest I found the former a little better as it did foam easier. i do believe prochem have just put one onto the market, not tried yet , seems a little pricy to me :-\
but if any one wants to send me a sample , i will try ;) ;D
if you are reffering to the cimex machine go for the cyclone 48 , a little heavier but does cover more tasks Cyclone 48
Suitable for commercial and industrial applications, Cyclone scrubber/polishers are multi-purpose machines suitable for cleaning and polishing virtually every type of flooring from concrete to wood, vinyl to carpet, rubber to tiles and a wide range of other floor types.
At the heart of the Cyclone machine is the famous Cimex triple-brush cleaning mechanism which incorporates a contra-rotating planetary drive disc. This gives a vigorous action that cleans in all directions with the brushes cleaning deep into the grouting of tiles floors, around the contours of rubber studded non-slip floors or into the pile of carpets.
Functional but highly important design features of the Cyclone machines are the non-marking wheels, a belt drive for exceptionally quiet operation, and the availability of a spray version for carpet bonnet mopping. An extensive range of brushes is available, covering all tasks from shampooing carpets or scarifying to polishing of hard floors Geoff

Thanks Geoff
Yes I meant the encap chems, Cimex is a bit out of my league atm. Just want to see encap in action for specific applications.

We have just invested in a used Texatherm system for the very same reasons, used it twice so far and the results are "satisfactory". From what I have seen of it so far, I don't think it is as good a clean as HWE, but it's quicker on larger jobs.
I have also only used in with Craftex Catalyst and not with the Texatherm Advanced cleaner, yet.
