Title: Fabric protectors
Post by: Kev R on February 04, 2008, 10:44:44 pm
I have been asked to fabric protect 104 restaurant chairs. They are very new. What fabric protector do you guys recommend?

Any tips for a newbie for application please?

Thanks

What fibre construction are they made from?

Ideally I like Scotchgard from 3M but I've heard good reports about Prochem Fabric Seal which I believe is 'spirit based' and ideal for upholstered fabrics although you'd have to wear a mask and have a well ventilated area.

There are other protectors on the market some good some not so but an idea of the fabric would be a good start.

I believe it to be a flat weave fabric, Cotton and polyester I think.

Kev

I used Fabric Seal and used on 200 chairs for a community hall not long ago. very easy application and has anti static qualities which are suited to non domestic environments. I did'nt use a mask but did it in a large high ceiling hall. Make sure you get an upholstery gun for your sprayer as this makes it som much easier.
