Title: Pick your brains...sebo duo
Post by: klinger (spa clean) on February 04, 2008, 04:02:40 pm
Hi all,
just bought myself a Sebo Duo for agitating my pre-sprays but was just wondering if anyone uses these for what they were actually designed for... ie with the dry granuals. Is there any situation when this method is going to be more suitable than HWE or is it best avoided, cheers klinger :)

Use mine alot for prespray treatment but only use dry granules (Envirodri/Solutions No1) on sisal/seagrass matting.
A decent maintenance method but hard work trying to get ingrained soil out  :o

I've always used mine for pre-spray agitation but have a job coming up where dry granules is the best option so purchasing a set of brushes which I will use and keep for that purpose only. Good machine for pre-spray agitation.

Spa Clean
Do a search for  Martin_606
then spend an hour or so going back thro some of his posts.
He is the specialist on here for using counter rotating brushes like the Sebo Duo but he uses the heavier duty Envirodri machine.
He only uses that machine for carpets and does grot jobs like end of tenancy and students.

Hi Klinger,

Its 250 sq yards of Linen (or maybe Viscose/Rayon) carpet on a superyacht. Joe H knows about this as it has appeared on another forum - after some delays (boats don't run like buses) its this Friday and Saturday. The yacht will be moored mid-river so a method using something other than HWE seemed to be the choice. Its a safe method of cleaning this type of floor covering but you def can't use the original brushes once they've been used for agitating pre-spray as they are filthy! (The carpets cream by the way) extra set of brushes are surprisingly cheap.

My last use of my Envirodri was a few weeks in a care home - used it for agitation.
Yes they were very dirty.
Note I said "were"
Your comments made me jump up and wash them - just hot water in the kitchen sink (made sure the wifes out) and they came up clean.
If they had not cleane dso easy I am sure I would have had something on the van to clean them   ;)

Running the machine in a commercial size cooking tray with an inch or so of water will clean them.
