Just wondering.....do members think that cleaning a conservatory or PVCu roofline is a normal part of a window cleaners work??

cleaning a conservatory roof is an added extra, it does not come as a standard unless custy asks and pays for it.

It's normal that we're asked to do it. On the specialist website they take calls nationally and take a lot more trouble with the quote which obviously could be a hundred miles away(but is most probably in an area they have leaflet targeted). They claim to have bits of kit we don't, but I doubt they've got what we've got.
I think you're cold and getting colder on this one.

I usually clean up to the roofline, not including the guttering.  guttering and up would be a seperate (and more costly) job.

I have several customers that have the roof and the sides cleaned every month. I think its becoming more of a window cleaners job with wfp making it a bit easier less time consuming and safer to do.  ;)

on a standard clean no I would say it is an extra service, very few of my customers have everything cleaned, with wfp frames (including conservatory sides) is standard which is an added bonus IMO for a customer,

Conservatory sides come in as part of my price. I quote for the house and sides (usually a fiver extra) and most go for it. Easiest/fastest windows to clean. Roof price has to be negotiated depending on how long they leave it. If it's just a quick woosh over then it can be as little as a tenner on my round........ which is bad news for anyone wanting to specialise in conservatories only. ;)
