Title: TFR?
Post by: tompoole on February 02, 2008, 07:40:14 pm
hi

i have been asked to clean conservatory 's  , some have very green fooves, In a previous post gazza mentions using TFR, then washing of with WFP,

where do i get TFR and how does it come. concentrate redy dilute or spray? I have seen some cans of spray , so would i be correct in thinking you just spray the unit leave a moment then WFP.

off to buy WFP trolley just for the hard to reach windows and conservatories but want the tfr at same time.

Cheers

Tom

Auto parts stockists will have it. Its used in the car trade to remove traffic pollutants from car body work.

I've got twenty five litres of the stuff from fleetclean - load of rubbish in my opinion, won't touch grey upvc and makes near as dammit no difference to conservatory roof cleans. I use it stronger than the 20 to 1 dosage on the label maybe mine is duff, froths up a bit but i reckon fairy or unger jell would do the same.

Had a conservatory roof to do yesterday which wasn't really part of the job but i did it, but had to give up - covered in barnacles of moss. I presoaked with tfr for half an hour scrubbed and brushed, rinsed, even tried one of those rubber brushes with a squeegee blade on the flip side and couldn't shift them. The main job was a gutter/facia clean but the facia was still grey and marked by the brush tips when finished. I put a spot of cheap upvc cleaner on a Vileda sponge pad on my pole and  the grey flew off so fast i could scrub and walk at the same time. Ten minutes to finish the job.

I used it on a really heavy soiled conservatory roof, I sprayed it on and as I sprayed it the algae just desolved and started to run down the roof. Then I did a few more panels, then went back and wfp were I started it came up like brand new.

Perhaps different makes perform different?

I use an applicator on an unger extension pole to apply TFR to conservatory roofs.
