Title: do not get robed like i did
Post by: tonyoliver on January 29, 2008, 09:59:28 pm
this is so silly you will not belive how stupid i was and how much trouble this has caused me
i met a guy who i saw once before with another firm in a cafe
seemed pleasent enough so he said do you want to buy some work
it turned out to be about a dozen or so jobs localy we went around looked at the jobs and agreed a price for the work

he gave me the job cards all marked with prices ect

not one of the jobs came up as they were stolen from his previous employerwhom i met at the first job

explain that one away  to him not a pleasent talk  until we realised we had both been done

several months later i was working up high and saw this idiot and raced down to intercept   him
before i got to the bottom he had gone into my van locked the door with my keys and ran off with my phone keys small amount of cash and my job cards
had to smash the window of my own van to get the emergency spare key  to get home
£ 50 EXCESS.
a week later i get a call offering to buy back the keys cards and phone
i agreed a meet but no show so had to spend £500 geting locks changed new phone and telling my custys thir security had been breached

lost quite a few over it all total losses over £1000

saw him once again but was with wife and baby

yes we will meet again alone and i will get revenge
and guys no  folksy wisdom about seek revenge dig two graves
 a warning to you all

i met a WELL KNOWN  round developer recently who did not have the faintest idea about the trade. how do these idiots get bigger and more profitable jobs than i could ever get ?

i now get all my'new jobs on my own no middle men no con men

Tony that sucks but in this trade you need to name and shame, what happens if someone else gets done by him. He will probably strike again as they know they can get away with it.

We should have a blacklist in this industry.

Hope you manage to resolve it one way or another but make sure it does not bite you back.

Doug

I agree. Humble the bloke in front of those who know him. Though i personally would prefer to do these things away from witnesses.

i heard a story once.........about a window cleaner in a similar situation to you ....... he found the bloke who robbed him then followed him home(making sure he was not seen of course) once he knew where the man lived keeping tabs on him was easy.He soon discovered that the guy had a small round of his own that he did inbetween pub and benefit office so he went out and bought a 14lb sledgehammer and a ski mask which he kept in his van.Eventually he came acrross the lowlife cleaning windows on a large and lonely council estate .As soon as he was sure no one was about man donned his ski mask and grasped his trusty hammer ..............hit the ladder low down and very hard

i have a friend who had a tea leaf move onto the estate who began to burgle after a couple of weeks he had his legs broken and when the plaster was removed they did it again just to reinforce that you dont steal from neighbours ! funny how no one has had any problems since lol

it amazes me the amount of rip off barstewards who seem to think they've got their  invisible cloak on when they go out each day. Ripping off people is incredibly stupid when you do it in the area you live or work. As if you are not going to get recognised again. Unbelievable.
is this bouncers forum ?? ::)
Nah.
You'll have to excuse me jonah, i get carried away with these types of stories. It's easy for me to type tough as long as computer monitors can't give backhanders.  ;)
