Title: installing outside water tap

is this easy as it's made out to be?

i was going to buy one of those outdoor tap kits from B&Q or screwfix

i found it easy when i did mine that i got from b&q .

Yes it is easy, but you have to make sure it has a non return vale in it, I personally would not use a tap kit that you screw to cut into pipe .

get a pipe slice, and some push fits, some 15mm copper/plastic. tap and fitting plate.

Or pay a local plumber to do it, if you need to buy all the stuff it will be cheaper  ;)

the self cutting tap is as easy as it gets  ;)

doe sit just clamp onto pipe and you cut in or something? then drill through the wall and install yer wee tap?

yes it does clamp, then you tighten it up and it cuts into the pipe, I did this with one and for some reason water trickled out of tap, so installed a proper tap connection problem solved, works for some I guess.
