Wot would u do if u had a custermer for a long time and at first she was good as gold now slowley she is turning bad like always saying not this time and can u only do the frunt, come back next week WOT WOULD YOU DO?
-
I would politely but firmly say:
I am afraid I can no longer have you as a customer, good-bye.
If asked why:-
Because I run my business on a regular monthly/two-monthly and you have recently begun to not fit the profile.
-
I would ask her if there is a problem,a lot of the time the ones you think are in it for the long haul will surprise you. That`s the trouble when you get to freindly with customers you can get problems ie awkward putting up prices and favors they ask you to do everytime and don`t expect to pay you for it.
-
Replace her with a better paying custy. Saves aggro of increasing prices.
-
my schedule is to tight but try yellow pages ;D
-
Find a Bad CUSTERMER That TURNS GOOD ;D

i had a customer today ask me if i could leave the windows til may so i asked why was that, he was upfront and honest and told me he had a few money problems and the £10 per month he just couldnt afford hes a very nice chap and his honesty went a long way. Customers like that i dont mind
on the other hand in this game we all expierence customers going bad, could be their fault your fault or they could be in a bad mood or they just take the p**s they get a couple of chances with me then their out

Best to speak openly and point out you need regular customers.
"Do you want me to continue or not?" She decides then.

The ones who say they can't afford it are the worst in my book. People can spend a fiver a day on fAgs, yet cant put asside 1.80 per week to have the windows done every 4th week...
Bah!

I had one like that and I respected her honesty. Usually, there is something going on and more often than not its money.
Lets face it when money is tight window cleaning is a luxury most people can do without.

same as, if people are honest it pays sometimes

She may not be a good customer turned bad, but a good customer going through a bad patch.
sometimes relationships breakdown leaving one with all the bills to pay. I will always go out of my way to oblige genuine people, "there but for the grace of God", but if I think someone is trying it on, I no longer want to know them.
I pride myself when it comes to trusting my instincts over customers. I had a guy that owed me £30, I heard every excuse in the book why he couldn't pay, I knew I wasn't going to get my money and wrote it off.
I was doing the back of a house this morning, looked up and saw this women. She was the wife of the guy that owed me. She put £30 in my hand and apologised for keeping me waiting. You could have knocked me down with a feather. It turns out she was OK,
but I still think he is a self abuser, we can all get it wrong sometimes. Dai
