My reels don't drip. But the hoselocks have come unthreaded on winding out and blast hot water everywhere.
I've got brass hoselocks, not john guest, but some wickes cheapos that were in a set, and they don't seem to have many thread turns on them anyway, but i was wondering if i put locktite on would it help this problem?

Try silicone, would be easier when u need to take them apart.

Silicone as in what you put on battery terminals , or what you seal work surface surrounds with? Would this make them harder to unscrew when hot?(this is what I need) or slippier?

Silicone as for work tops, or you could use PTF tape, is goes on the thread to make a water tight seal, it very cheap £3 or so any plumbers merchant will have it, and it will stop it unscrewing.

Just been out and put ptfe on. It might work. I'll find out when i unwind quickly and it's hot.
