Hi Guys
Put in a quote for cleaning carpets at the begining of the month.
Quoted for hallway and lounge to the tenant.
got a call from owner today asking me to go ahead with the clean to hall, BEDROOMS and lounge. stated that the price I quoted was for hall and lounge only!
The invoice I sent off was by e-mail with quote as attachment. They have since faxed it too me and it does say on it BEDROOMS!!!.
As i know for a fact this wasn't on the original quote, it has been changed. I have told her that I will honour that quote but the lesson has been learned.
Send by mail as well as e-mail!

If the tenant has admitted to changing your quote,he is obviously of dubious charactor and I certainly would walk away from this job.
If you do decide to carry out the work, make sure you get payment upfront in cash before commencing-John

I would tell them to ##ss off and go and find some other mug to clean thyem

The plot thickens...
Have had a few chats with the tenant and she in turn has been talking with the owner of the property. It transpires that the owner expects me to carry out the work that is on the quote that is in front of her (the doctored one!)
we also quoted to repair a bathroom wall (thermalite plus papering section) the owner expects us to strip the entire bathroom and re-paper it for the price of the repair!
I will be taking your advice on this one and will be staying WELL clear. They obviously want the whole thing on the cheap. Barmy!
