i am currently running two vehicles, escort estate for windows and focus for wife and outings and getting fed up paying two lots of tax and insurance.i use a trolley and only work 3 days a week so only really need one vehicle.i need something not too big for the wife -but big enough to carry trolley and 6 barrels, any suggestions.

I use a VW Sharan, excellent vehicle as all 5 rears seats are removable, allowinjg me to so alsorts of jobs as well as window cleaning

may be a bit too big-the wifes got to drive it,i was thinking about a renault scenic or similar.

Citroan Berlingo (car / people carrier version)
I have the van version and can carry 12 barrels, step ladders, trolley etc. I assume the car version would do the same with seats etc folded down...)

A Nissan Prarie will do the trick

Scenic is not to bad however if anything goes wrong they are expensive on repairs.
Back seats fold up giving plenty of room.
Would take six barels however that depends on the size because of weight restrictions.
I use one but am looking at a four seater van as need to fit a tank due to business growth.

Volvo V70 (740, 960, 850) turbo diesel.
Space for a trolley, 5 cans and the weeks shopping behind the back seat. Or if you decide to get serious you can fit a 300 litre custom tank behind the seats (great Volvo tough lashing points) and still have space behind this for reels and bucket. I would also recommend that you have the suspension upgraded with inner coils cost about £120 fitted and make a world of difference.

any estate car would be fine

citreon berlingo ....car type takes the weight of your barrels and still smart enough for your other half to trot about it......also cheap enough to buy

why not keep the focus, sell the other one and buy a box trailor or trailor. no tax, no mot, no insurance and no servicing
