Do we pay VAT on postage????
-
Government says :(
-
But why? if i post a large parcel myself i'm not aware of paying VAT. So does this mean i'm paying your VAT when i purchase something. ??? I don't understand.
-
It's because the retailer is supplying postage as a service and as such has to add VAT to it.
-
If a trader is VAT registered they MUST charge VAT on "all" services including p&p,
every business charges p&p then VAT,i know it`s a bummer but that`s just the way it is,like Alex says the Government says :-\

Ah right, it's something i've never understood before. Yet another sneaky tax.

I charge VAT on advise, that's 976 quid you owe me Dave (mate) ;D
Mind, only on good advise, so that'll be 3 quid then ;)
