Title: COUNCILS UNDERSPEND
Post by: carpet guy on January 25, 2008, 09:05:07 am
It's fast approaching the time of year when local authorities have surplus cash, which they have to get rid off, so contact your schools, libraries, etc and you might just get lucky !!

Last year quoted £909 to clean communal carpets in a sheltered  scheme.
Council decided better to replace for £20,000.

Timing is everything, good heads up Carpetguy.

NHS £50M DEEP CLEAN now there's a joke.

Wouldn't mind a bit of that, although bottom of the agency layer cake probably not worth much.

I'll keep my head down out of the way.

You'll shortly be getting the council ringing around all the trades trying to get you to advertsie in their handbook. Now that is a complete waste of money (IMO).
