There is a square cover over the pressure switch connections which has a single crosshead screw.  To remove it, undo the screw and pull off the cover.  Beneath you will find two spade connector connections and between them another crosshead screw.  This is the pressure switch adjustment screw.  There should be no other screws to mistake it for.  Adjust this as necessary and hopefully it will cure all of your problems  :)

Might well have been a dodgy connection on the spade terminals and you undoing the cover righted it   :) :)
