I often get asked if we do carpet cleaning - which we don't. However, I was wondering about offering 'carpet refreshing' as opposed to 'carpet cleaning' as a service.

I don't want to go the whole hog and compete with the professional carpet cleaners, but I thought there might be money to be had by offering to 'refresh' customers' carpets - either domestic or office.

What do you guys think of the idea? Could it be a goer?

Hi There

Just thought I would post some feed back for you.
I run a company called ICS in Tauton, we are professional carpet cleaners, unless you are prepared to spend thousands of pounds on decent carpet cleaning machines you will get nothing but problems.
Trust me I was going to start out like that when we started, save your money they are rubbish.

Why not just offer a full carpet cleaning service and sub it out, many companies do, we do..

As said lots of cleaning companies sub work out to Profesional carpet cleaners. Some do take a cut and it is money for nothing. Just make sure you marry up with a reputable cleaner who knows what he's doing.
