Title: GANGSTER/RELOAD FISHING POLES
Post by: Captain Scarlet on January 22, 2008, 03:46:47 pm
Are these the ones you recommended to me Jeff?

Gangster 11m carp pole

http://www.cheshirefishing.co.uk/shop/gangster.htm

Reload 11m pole

http://www.cheshirefishing.co.uk/shop/reload.htm

so both are 36ft long but they will have to be cut down to accept my thread and probably have some sections removed so how long will they be after that?

Just phoned up Cheshire fishing and they said the Gangster is the replacent for the Reload. So does anybody on here use a Gangster?

He also told me that alot of wc'ers are buying this pole:

the Garbolino Executioner:

http://www.cheshirefishing.co.uk/shop/garbolino.htm

But he also told me that the Gangster is just as strong as the Garbolino in fishing terms for its length, Luke

I've been using a Reload as my main pole for nearly a year now - bargain pole, reaches to three storeys on most but not all houses is very light but obviously it's not in the S2 league. It's outlasted my extender ten times over and is still going. The Gangster should be the same - the beauty of these poles is that the whole pole is cheaper than a Superlight section so if you tread on one just buy another pole and then you have plenty of spare sections.

they look ace and much cheaper than wfp  but are they telescopic twist and extend, also how do you attach a brush?

They are modular so they just push fit together or put over as the proper term is. They are very fragile so won't take any abuse  but very very light. Did a big gutter clean with mine today - no problem. I just saw off a few inches of metal broom handle, bond it in the end of the top section complete with threaded tip and plastic angle adapter. I used the base of the next unwanted section to strengthen the tip and bobs yer uncle.

DJW- I have an S2 but want a fishing pole for lower things for my other operator. How long is it now its been chopped down?

Gazza, your reffering to the Zensorflex, you can choose if its modular or telescopic before buying. You attach a brush by cutting the pole down to the right size to insert a thread into it to accept brushes, Luke

Luke, Jeff combines the Zensorflex with the Reload to give a strong top section, i haven't bothered and have been ok I use five sections of the Reload and occasionally add another base section from a different pole i have. It is quite whippy but brilliant for two storey and occasional three.

This is what Jeff saidon the DIY forum

Quote
Modulars max at 28 ftish (the Gangster/Reload) and flag poles are about 21ft skyblue. So if you want a 35ft you already have it with the S2.

Ahh I see you want another pole   , well the best for idiot proof ones is the Zensorflex glass fibre approx 21ft £18.99 modular and bouncy, but light.
Mind you the Econ Ultra light may be worth looking at as is the new telescopic from Gardiners

odulars max at 28 ftish (the Gangster/Reload)

so I was hoping I could get 28ft with the Gangster, Luke

Jeffs the man to talk to. I bought a Zensoreflex but found the sections a bit short. I paid £18.99 then stuck it straight on ebay for about £32.

When cut down my Zensorflex (as recommended by Jeff) is about 20ft,
the Reload combined with the Zensorflex top 2 sections is about 28ft.

That Eporium Econ pole looks an interesting introduction to modular poles for a domestic round too, although it's only eighteen feet long.
