I'd take your bank details off like now, you are open to fraud and will not have a leg to stand on as your details are on the website. ;)
-
Hi Peter,
Looks good :)
Who did it? Steven or Micheal?
I can't beleive they are 12 now :o Makes me feel old! :-\

What can anyone do with just your sort code and account number? Nothing!
Cheque books have exactly the same details on!

Andy,
Thats how the Nigerian Scammers operate, they ask for your bank details to transfer funds and some how manage to clear your bank. Don't know how they do it but speak to your bank to see if it is safe!!!
-
Very good. What else do you need to say, it is straight forward and easy to read. I get very little work from my website but I think it gives some reasurrance to customers that I am established, just as this should do.

Windowwashers look out!

The scammers need more than your bank account details, they normally want payment for bribes etc, this is how they fleece money from gullable people thinking they will get 20% of millions of pounds.

Andy,
Steven - really good at html particularly.
Had to cough up some serious pocket money this weekend!!! :(
Thanks for your comments.

Sorry to go about this but the above story shows it can be done.
Apart from that good site and your lad has a bright future ahead.

Thanks for voicing your concerns D A Services. Worrying story (Clarkeson) But as I'm not linked to any search engines - (site not designed to generate work, but to make life easier for existing custy's) hopefully not the prob. Jeremy had.
Am open to guidance though.

So should the details go or stay? If there is even a remote chance of fraud, would you leave them on?
Peter
-
Where does that go?
Search engines look at sites of the title and the meta tags so as you can see above were it says <meta name="title" content="Home Page - Blackbushe Windows"> thats the title of the page what search engine will pick up.
<meta name="description" content="Professional Window Cleaning based on the Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire border."> thats the discription which means when someone search's say google for window cleaner surrey the conent should show up
<meta name="keywords" content="window cleaning professional yateley surrey
hampshire berkshire cleaner blackbushe windows "> thats keywords for the website.

Bank transfer has been removed.
Will test the water and see what happens with direct payment through paypal. Can always restore if need be.
Peter
-
hi peter
like the site. i like you take direct payments from the bank, only i give my account number once to the customer and their computer remenbers it from then on.
i personally do not think its a good thing to show the world our account details but once given to the custy it a great benefit to us
tony
-
Thanks Tony,
Will do the same.
Peter
-
your welcome pete
trouble is i spend loads of time looking to see who has paid! the other thing that amazes me is how many people say they will pay direct and it then takes a couple of weeks for them to do it. saves time on going out to collect but it aint as quick.
tony
-
Yes , had my first email from the site yesterday - opened it expecting to find custy paid via online payment. "will send cheque in a day or two."
I must admit I was a little disappointed! Happy to have cheque though!!
Peter
-
you aint got it yet.! :(
-
True.
Promising though - don't you think :) :)
-
I think it is brilliant fella very direct and to the point
What is it like to setup paypal as that is wht I am thinking of doing but do they charge you?
-
Jago,
Thanks for your comments!
Setting up Paypal isn't difficult. Just had first money in £15.00 - paypal took 71p in charges.
Time will tell if it's the best way of collecting money online or not. :-\
Peter
-
hi peter
had that cheque in yet!
i do not use paypal as their charges may be fair but i dont think you can get at the monry for 7 or 9 working days.
whats that all about.
tony
-
would not a self addressed envelope with a class stamp on it be cheaper?
I know it takes time to clear so I suppose time is money too lol
I am talking myself out of this ha ha ;D
Paypal seems good
-
No idea Tony, not heard of that.
No cheque yet!! :'(
Open minded about Paypal, will see how it goes.
Peter
-
Jago,
Online payment was meant as an additional option to cheques etc, not necessarily to replace them. Giving custy's another payment option seems good idea - particularly if it's easy , quick and you get your money (but not all) :'(
Find some custy's very slow to send cheques - this may be an option they will take up.

I have paypal on my site, most people now have ebay accounts . I have found that people who used to send cheques now use paypal.
Also when they send you payment you have there emailaddress , so if they are late payig you can send them a email to remind them .
-
Agree wi9th that John
