I dont care if Ltd or not, as long as I make my cheddar  :D

Ewan,
I don't think LTD is a target at all.

A target might be 50 custies in first three months, 200 in a year plus first van on road. 2nd van in second year, five vans and seven employees by end of year three.

Or as your mate says, £400 pw, if you thinkk that's more realistic.

We are Ltd, achieved (if that is how you see it) in just over 4 years.

The only reason for going Ltd is to avoid having go into the 40% tax bracket.  Instead you become an employee, draw a small salary at basic rate and get the remainer in dividends at corporate rate (20%)

Hi all,

If self employed now. How many of you intend to go Ltd?

How long do you think this will take you?

For me (self employed) I have set a target for annual turnover and profit.

I plan on reaching this within the 1st 3 years then change.

Just like to know if this is realistic.

Ewan.
3 years is possible,  I really have to look into this, I know some think that going limited they can just get money if it works it does if not liquidate and not worry that they can take house etc oh how they are wrong. (not saying anyone here is doing that by the way)
