Post by: frames to panes on January 18, 2008, 03:35:43 pm: Been on a downer this week what with the weather and being short of work. I reckon i've only worked twenty hours in total. Wife comes home from Tesco (part time) and casually mentioned that the full time guy in her office earns £231 a week.............before tax!
Maybe things arn't so bad after all. :)

Ive found with the weather as it is, the last 2 years I have been leaving all my gutter work still dec/jan.(unless client desperate.)
So this winter has kept me busier.
Not great working in the rain but at least you are earning money.
Does not help having 9 pages of outstanding work though

This is the going rate for many shop workers and a lot more out there which is one good reason not to keep bragging and inflating your earnings on here. If you earn a good wage then fine but please keep it to yourself. ;)

That tells you something about the state of the jobs market these days.
