I have two sections jammed solid on my S2 - what is the best way to get them apart?
Beat them against a tree? Sit on them?. It is the only section of the entire pole i didn't tape to stop this happening - so still a problem as with all modulars. Had to tie it to my roofrack in the pouring rain. Not a happy bunny at all. :(

I have an S2 but this has never happened to me. I would suggest getting 2-3 people on it with a gentle twisting motion. One thing thats great about Gardiners is that it is so easy to contact them for good advice with problems.....would you get that with anyone else?? Luke

Sorry to hear that Dave - typical with the weather.  The best way is to get another person, both wear rubber gloves for grip, and twist rather than pull the two sections. Twist the lower section in a clockwise direction.  Let me know how you get on.  My email is alex@agardiner.co.uk.

Yes, try to keep the joints dry when putting them together so you don't get water suction problems, Luke

Always happy with Gardiners Luke, you just wouldn't believe how i can attract problems regarding my equipment - to be perfectly honest i've had a gutful of equipment falure over the last year.

Got to wait for my son to come home - my missus is a bit lightweight and doesn't have the strength. ::)

Had to do this with three sections of my fishing pole after gutter/soffit cleaning.

I had to walk a mile (no roof rack see?) to my mate's house with 15ft of pole past the local school  ;D ;D ;D where my daughter goes  :-[. His wife and her friend on one end, me on the other and they eventually twisted apart!

I'm sick of my xtel poles now, only 4 months old and the clamps are spinning, apart from that they are great................. >:(

DONE IT! thanks Alex, the rubber glove trick did it, luckily i just so happened to have a pair of extra large marigolds left over from Christmas - i knew they would come in handy for something! Going to keep them in the van now, as i don't want to wear them in the house!

If only i had an SL-X in the van i could have carried on working. :)
