went out this a.m, did one job worth £39 (georgian windows all round) then on to a manor house worth £100 about 15 - 20 miles away but was raining again by the time I got there and the lady of the house said "no thanks, not in this weather" Have had to come home again now :(
This rain is doing my head right in! when is it gonna end? I'm still not in a position to have much savings behind me and I'm getting deeper into arrears with rent etc. Every day is poop at the moment work wise :'(
HEEEEEEEELP!!!

Last year was the driest in ages so we are now making up for it ! Wont last forever though looking forward to summer ;D

Summer last year was cr*p though, if I remember rightly april was hotter and better weather wasn't it?
hopefully this summer will be fairer! not too hot so we can avoid hosepipe bans, just good weather would be nice enough eh ;)
be nice to have the lighter evenings too to get all those extra houses done every day!

I know I know ;) I cant really blame them but it is annoying, I'm blaming the weather more than anything lol
And yes regardless of what happens I am in this for the long run. I built up a wc'ing business before and then sold it because I thought a "normal job" would be better, but when I went and got a normal job I hated it! only lasted 3 months and came back to the land of wc'ing for ever!
Its a nightmare when the weather is bad but I've been building this new business of mine from the ground up, and most of the time I love it its just having no money to fall back on gets a bit worrying when the rain keeps coming and you dont know when its gonna stop ::)

Where did you hear that?

I'm off to slit my wrists!

Just got indoors and the heavens opened. Rain coming in sideways, thunder, lightning and a bit of hail too. The woman whose house i finished at 3.30 must be thinking "why did I bloody bother".
Looking at the various forecasts this weather is set to be like this until early next week...mind you they often get it wrong!
-
They forecast rain today in my area - not a drop until three and then the heavens opened.

If I could afford it all, I might think about it lol, it would be good seeing as you can carry on cleaning in the rain, but what do customers think about that? surely you would have to give the customers a technical leaflet explaining how wfp works and that rain doesn't make the windows dirtier (much)? or waste loads of time chatting to them about it and hope they swallow every word? :-\

I arrive and clean, it they ask I tell them about it, I did not give anyone a tech letter as I was not going to explain to everyone, as long as there windows are clean it is good, they way i got round it with a few that asked I said I would clean there frames free for 2 months ;D have to clean the frames anyway :-X
