when i work on my own its usualy 20-26 on a 5-6 hour day, the houses are all either terraced or semis all close. I aim to earn as much as i can but prob averages out at 150 per day. bit crap but hey... :)
-
£30,000 a year? yeah thats pretty crap really.
-
u call that crap .u want to cum up the valleys .so if mr taxman is watching this site .us valley boys ar not in the same leauge .urs sincelly mr tacky
-
Surley £150 as a wage is not bad for a 5-6 hour day? Is that trad or WFP? ???
-
Why is £30,000 a year crap for a 25 hour week?
That'd be £60,000 a year if you did a full week, CEOs earn that.
-
no im happy with that a day. im wfp. just sounds like loads are earning loads more on this site from reading threads...

Theres a lot of hot-air on here too.
;)

So what is your average price on houses you charge mate....thats a lot cleans for earning around £150?
-
Don't believe everything on here, sure we can all have good days but not many of us constantly hit those figures. One or two might with a compact well priced large round but we don't all have them.
-
least im doing ok then. iv often wondered compared to other wcers wish i had 10 hours a day worth of work lol...if only
-
between 6.50 and 10.00 i charge iv thought about putting them all up but worried will lose loads of customers. most are 7-8 pounders
-
Lets all remember, what we do in a day is not what we earn in a day!!
Tax, vehicle costs ,marketing, tools etc etc etc
-
Your are doing ok mate...I have read some posts on here during the last year,IMO some posters do brag it.(SHAME ON THEM)..but what you earning is not a bad wage,,,,Trust me.... 8)
-
Do other tradespeople post their earnings on public forums too. I'd be very surprised if they do. Boasting how much you earn on here just creates unwanted interest from outsiders who want to jump on this bandwagon. When your window cleaning area is saturated with new foreign window cleaners, undercutting and stealing your work, you'll realise it's too late to get decent priced work from new quotes.
-
lol keep ya hair on just checking if im doing ok compared to others. was just an average. anyway it was amount of houses i was wondering about as read a thread of 2 guys cleaning 65 i think houses a day and wonderd why i cant do that many

Oh I'm sorry for having a dig about you wanted to buy that trolley for sale a while ago...had a bad day,Did you buy the trolley? 8)

I earnt £23.50 today after 8 hours, not bad.
-
If your having to clean 60 + houses a day you have a C*** round.
-
lol sory mate lol..no didnt buy it at end think someone else did

Very true....

As ive said loads of times in the past its its not about how many houses in a day its all about the quality of the houses you clean ! ie the price you charge.
I never clean more than 10 houses in any day i start at 9 and finish at 3, it has took me a long time to acheive this but now my round is the envy of alot of my fellow shiners in my area.
I used to have around 360 houses and an employee, but since turning wfp 2 years ag the employee has gone and my round now consists of 166 houses, none below £10.00 and alot over the £25.00 mark .
I dont work on a monthly or 6 weekly basis, i just work from the top of the list and when i reach the bottom i just start again, the norm because of the weather is around a month though, but at the moment and because of xmas some will be 6 and a half weeks, customers dont mind because(and i,m not blowing my own trumpet) when i,ve cleaned them theyre cleaned GOOD. ;)
-
how anyone can do 60 houses per day is beyond me.
10 to 17 in a day mainly above a tenner now ,, still growing, and as i get a few more 10s 15s and 20+ houses the small ones will eventually go.
to be honest when i first started doing w/c i made myself a promise to hit all large semis and detached at decent prices and that way i would have a profitable good payers etc round eventually,
and its turning into that now, it is a slower trying to build such a round but worth it in the end,
also i have worked in the past as a debt collector and know too well, how hard it is to get people to pay each week.
so dodgy council estates are a definate no go for me,
the customers i have i hope... all seem to have cheque books and bank accounts, so i dont have to be given the runaround by the ..... lets just say the dodgy crew.

Ronaldo - I like your posting - its sensible and believable!
Some of the postings on here sound crazy.
I'm sure the state of some of the windows that are supposedly cleaned in seconds (or less) leave a lot to be desired.
Some house owners have probably never had their windows cleaned properly so they won't know a good job from an average one (or bad one!).
Also, many people just aren't brave enough to complain.

£10-£15 A HOUSE 15-20 HOUSES A DAY . WINDOW CLEANING IS THE BEST KEPT WAGE SECRET I KNOW . IF I TELL PEOPLE HOW MUCH I CAN EARN MOST DONT BELIEVE IT :o :o :o :o
-
it is all about the quality of the houses like you said ronaldo.
I know someone that used to clean loads in a day but they were all £2.50 front onlys, just two windows and a door. if your round is mostly these you'll whip through 60 a day no problem!
i do between 30-35 bewteen the two of us. just normal 3 beds. if i do bigger house it can go as low as 15 a day for the two of us
.... qualtiy, not quantity! ;)

I bought a pure freedom trolley that was posted on this site on Monday, is that the one you meant? I personally would rather change customers than use a trolley. It's for someone else to use :)

thats easily acheivable. But you ideally need someone working for you, and you need to be very disapplined!
