Grass cutting, nice little earner in the summer.
-
I did think of grass cutting but i want more from people in the winter as well, but i have not ruled it out.
I have a good trailer ;D
-
I offer but the Mrs dosen`t like it much lol. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

i offer a full exterior and interior clean now.
I find gutter clearing jobs are good for the winter, being as all the leaves have fallen, and the rain is here.
-
Will be offering chimney sweeping from March to all my customers.
Also run a small taxi business and get some, not alot of work from my customer base. Also have an ice cream van.....there are a few customers that have had their windows cleaned, booked a taxi for Saturday night and then bought an ice cream on Sunday afternoon! ;D

What a mess i made, and i thought i had it under control.Taped up a rubble sack around the fire place got the mother inlaw brushes and away i go, sack ripped pulled away from the fire place and what a mess i had made.
I just pay 20 quid and it's the best 20 quid i spent.

I mean i jet wash patios, walls, caravans, conservatorys decking, etc. as well as clean windows in and out.
Also I clean gutters, con roofs, fascia, etc. and i also do graffiti removal other things too. I cleared a tramps den the other week!
I have just started taking on interior cleaning for my wife. I might do a bit of that if I get any big EOT cleans and its raining.
I like to vary things, it keeps the job interesting. :)

I used to do some grass cutting a few years back but I found the biggest problem was what to do with the cuttings. You really collect a lot after a few houses and they charge you £20 if you take it to the dump in a van.

do what i do vince and put it in the brown bin at the house you have just done

We do cleaning also, have done for a few years. Doesn't pay as well but we can do it in all weather, and not affected by shorter days - turn the lights on I mean.

A window cleaner friend in my town cleans the insides, I mean hoovering and dusting, of a couple of pubs and a nightclub every day....it's guaranteed work/income whatever the weather.

Cleaning fascia/gutters etc is a great earner, and can be done in the rain if you have to. Power washing work is another great one,... I don't even advertise it anymore (except for the van sign writing),.. the work just finds me. I even had one old dear follow me home because she didn't have a pen to write down my number!
If you get an extension lance and a gutter bend for the power washer, you can do the gutters without using ladders at all unless they are really full and overflowing.

Grass cutting for a couple of my windows custys, fencing occasionally. I have just had 4 days, which was nice due to the dodgy window-cleaning weather, of fixing some trelliss to one of those custys houses and general clearing of their garden, rubbish burning and various bits and bobs. Got about another weeks work there, more pruning, gutter cleaning, treliss staining etc; which is great if its raining but the round is a bit behind at the mo, about 2 weeks Id say.

the other services we offer are:
Gutter clearing and repair,
patio and drive cleaning.
upvc restoration.
soffit cleaning

i use an industrial 3500psi jet wash. If you are going to clean drives, etc, you need to have a powerful one, or you will leave lines, and it will take too long to make any real money out of it.
