Another day holed up in my house and we've had so much rain that the roads are flooding - water pumping up through the drains horrible brown water everywhere. If i was to carry on cleaning this weather would my customers think i was 1) a hero or 2) a money grapping tw*t? Personally if i was doing domestic i think the latter, rain guarantee or not i think i would be seen as the laughing stock of the town. What about everyone else?

never had a problem with it. some people make comments, but simply tell them that everything will be alright, if its not give us a ring and we will sort it out the next day...never had a phone call yet to rectify any

I think the thing about cleaning windows in the wet is that whatever the results, whether they remain clean or not, MOST people DO NOT work in the wet, whoever you are, brickie, gardener, whoever. We are conditioned to avoid the rain, understandably so, so when someone who isnt providing an essential service chooses to do so others think theyre possibly a bolt short of a full set.
For me if it gets to the stage where I feel obliged to go out there in nasty weather I have to expect the odd comment.

We got rained off as well today, started this morning with a slight drizzle, on a good job, me on insides ;D, brother doing the outsides ;D, (he is not too clever on trad & he knows it), bruv is wearing waterproofs but the heavens opened & he eventually got soaked.
Custie thought we were mad.
Went back to bruv's house so he could dry off & wait for the rain to stop as weather forecast said it would brighten up after midday....... oh well....... still has not stopped...... :'(
