"Return" - last date for filing 31.1.2008 £100 penalty for late filing.
Any monies owed by or on 31.1.2008. Late payments incur interest.

you do not get fine if you make arrangement before this date but you do still pay interest.

I've always paid on time and had no probs. I always put the money into a seperate account each week and forget about it. We should all do it I would hate to owe money I havent got.
A mate of mine left w/c and went to work for a company, he paid up all he owed. When it came round to the following year he still got a bill from the tax man for his business even though he was paying tax while working for a company. He called them but it never got sorted out and he was fined for late payment. Due to that he had no end of problems and told me he would rather have paid the money he didnt owe. Point of the story is pay up on time coze if they go after someone who dosnt even owe anything then they will come after you and why pay them more than they deserve.

quite right, if you speak to them they can be flexible when they want to be! If you don't they won't :)
Had to pay a little bit of interest a few years ago even though did agree late payment, but hey ho, there you go!

My first year paying as self employed, got whats owed for last year but not for the following.

Got to pay it in 3 installments feb 28th march 31st april 30th. If a day late, im told legal proceedings will take place.

I can pay it, not a problem so not worried.

But if the government was this strict with the unemployed, or immigrants, maybe we wouldnt have to pay as much!!!

Soft targets, thats us workers!!!1
