£1020 for each item...ironically both bids from the same person. so will be a friend bidding for them. and now your gonna have to pay ebay final fees on over £2k, gonna be £50 to ebay. whoops

While not against the law, "shill" bidding as its called ( bidding on your own item ) is against ebay policy and can mean you are removed, Luke

alot of private forums have a forum setup for this sort of thing

im on a forum that has roughly 100 people who all have ebay accounts, it goes on all the time , a shame really, as ebay is now just a global marketplace and not the place it started out as

on the note of ebay, i was offered the EXACT same code for a auction site many years ago on 1 of my sites, this was before ebay was big, i turned it down

In auction rooms all over the world they use 'Phatom bids' to get things moving.

thats the way i see ebay really, you have to read between the lines, set your stall out and bid what you are willing to pay. don't worry to much about whats going on on the auction

looks like he didn't take our advice on here.

he's put a little bracket at either end of the tank - whats that gonna do??

Plus I don't like the whole idea of a merlin in a van, its a decent enough ro unit but not for on site production, surely a 4040makes more sense?

yeah but the prices this joker is looking he should be fitting a 4040 as standard.

merlin - 250
2 x 10inch housings (ro-man) - 20
stainless steel 4040 housing (gapswater) - 165
4040 membrane (gapswater) - 217
sediment filter (wintecs) - 1.17
carbon filter (wintecs) - 3.50
4040 total - 406

thats 156quid more for a stainless steel 4040, hardly a lot considering what he wants for fitting which works out about 1100quid!

very good, the desal membrane is the best available for under 600quid and the stainless steel housings are well, very very nice.  Don't know why suppliers continue to use those stupid looking champ housings, we have a merlin and a stainless steel 4040 (2 different fill sites) and the 4040 looks stunning (i know it shouldn't matter but it kinda does).

plus it won't crack in the winter.
