Does anyone use a 60psi Shureflow pump with 100meters of microbore? The reason i'm asking is because i'm going to buy a spare pump and strangely the lower pressure one has a faster flow rate than the 100psi model. 60psi-2.2gpm 100psi-1.4gpm i can't work that one out. ???

thats strange you got me on that one :-\

probably because the lower pressure 60 psi pump is smaller and uses less current to run, so it can run at higher rpm even though the setting is the same from the varistream.
-
Confusing isn't it. I phoned one supplier who said they recommend 60psi with 100m of microbore whilst another sells 100psi for the same, which is why i posted the question.
I would imagine once you get to forty feet of pole hight then 60psi will probably struggle with the increase in pressure and extra pole hose.
-
i guess so, it might have a higher flow rate and use less current, but when the varistream adjusts the pressure to pump upto height, then it would probably struggle, the 100psi can pump enough and has the power, i have used my shurflo 100psi on a 45 foot pole almost fully extended and it quickly shot up the pole hose and enough water with a strong spray out of the pencil jets no problem at about 1pm on the dial. I wouldnt get a 60psi i dont know why people use them rather than 100.

I use a 60psi sureflow and 100mt of microbore and a 45ft pole no trouble at all, been doing this now for 2 years never had a problem.
-
Thanks, i thought someone must be doing it - are you happy with the flow your getting or do you always think you could do with more. Do you have a varistream?
-
if your using a varistream it doesnt matter as the shot off switch isnt being used so many people dont understand this
