Its not much money to join and everyone in window cleaning has heard of it,
the deals you can get through them on equipment and insurance are good

Great thing to have on you van and paper work can give you the edge over the other.

Yes the Federation is good for your business as is the APWC, you may want to look at that as well?

www.apwc.info

Either way which ever one you chose will help you along the way!

Best wishes,

Trevor

Thanks guys, is one better than the other? Or are they much of a likeness?

Your best bet is to look at both sites and judge for yourself.

Either one will have people who like or dis-like it, the main thing is to look at what your wanting for your membership and take it from there. Be sure to read more than just the benefits page as sometimes what is seen as a benefit in reality may only be a perceived value.

I would say APWC has fresher outlook and feel and on DD for payments has to worth the money, this is the one I am going for  ;)
I have a few other reasons but not posting them as I have nothing against the fed just my own opinions in which fits my company better.

LWC

I think the benefits are a good thing, but you should also look at what the association is doing for the industry.

I can only talk about what the FWC is up to

Windex two day trade show 27 / 28 March 08
Blackpool two-day trade show 09
Working with the HSE
Working with Defra
Developed a new one day IOSH accredited WFP and ladder training day
On going training program
Developing a training DVD for ladders and WFP 08

Why would I join a federation apart from having the sticker on my van and saying I'm a member on the leaflets?

Give me a couple of reasons to do so, I have no idea why I should

(serious question)

I went for fed. mostly for the stickers on the van and buckets etc. worth the money just for that. Stickers only come in red I had to get some made up in blue.

I see it as a good sign to be part of a federation. Someone who is dedicated to their work and is willing to put into something that is going to be recognised nation wide.

And to get help with the liabilty insurances would be ideal for me.

The federation looks best to me, there doesnt seem to be a mention about insurances on the apwc???
