Title: gutter cleaning
Post by: peterharwood on January 08, 2008, 03:25:39 pm
Been raining a bit lately, got to thinking is it possible to use one of the wet/dry vacuum cleaners to clean gutters ? without the big outlay for a more expensive  system's who's  vacs are 3600 watt 240 volt.

thought this might be a good earner have seen a wireless camera on ebay for about £100

what do you guys think ? or am i wasting my time going down this route ?

I have spent days looking in to this and the problem is getting 3600 watts Vac that takes a 51mm hose (same spec as omnivac) I think omnipole modify there vac system, then your need lance tubing to get up to the gutter!

Here is what I have found so far

hi andy looked at the theory of this type of system  being in swindon probably easier  to buy the upkeeper  vac  system from ionics   but am looking at all alternatives due to costs

Reason I looked into it was because I only wont to do gutter cleaning now and then, and spending 2k would take a long time to get my money back before a profit, I will still keep a look out...

Wonder where omnipole got the Vac cleaner http://www.omnipole.com/DSCF0015.JPG

PS Simon, July 2009  ;) (I hope  ;D)

yes have seen this before. the problems with this is you have to climb ladder (not that much of a problem) and all the mess from the gutter would be strewn across the garden/conservatorie ect.
