Title: pole broke today
Post by: matt on January 07, 2008, 07:23:46 pm
it was very windy and the lightwieght pole blew over, normally this isnt a issue it bounces fairly well

today it hit a plant pot about 18" below the brush :( and snapped right in half :(

it was about 3ish, so i packed up and got home and fixed it, now the unger end of the pole is inside the pole

its not a major issue, just lost 18" of pole

I would not use a carbon pole day in day out for normal work, maybe lighter but I like the workout

Ahh,  well for a long time now I now only use the next biggest section No4 as its stronger and not so bendy. You fit a piece of the Unger alu section Inside the glass fibre. If you do that you will still have a pole you can use and it will be stiffer. Will see if I can find it over on your site and get back to you there. The NO 4 secdtion also fits most other modulars as a st gooseneck.

thats what ive done now, its cut about 6 " inside that pole ( only because i had glues them 2 sections together )

its long enough for all my houses except 2 or 3 ( from what i remmber ) so its not a major issue, i can allways use the unger for them 2 or 3
