just wondered if the ultimate pole came along what would you pay ? what do you expect from a pole ? what reach would you want ? let us no please
-
Less than £1200. Value for quality is the 1st priority :)
-
so i take it your all sorted with the pole you use ? what did you pay how many problems you had with it if any ? im only doing research as i have something in mind . look at previuos post to (alex) would you buy . if theres no market whats the point in maybe bringing out the ultimate pole . so please be honest after all we use them day in & day out .
-
perhaps prices were a bit over but you wouldnt get a golf gti for the sam price as a fiesta would you .
-
The above pricings do not mean a lot unless you have perhaps a length reference for the pole, for instance, no-one would pay any of the above prices for a 12 ft pole no matter how good it was!
For the above prices I would expect the pole to be at least 40 ft long. It would have to be extremely long lasting, light, stiff and easy to use.
-
looking at wow 80 foot dont want to say much more .
-
You'd have to be some sort of clot to pay more than a few hundred quid for a pole. ::)
It's how you use it, providing it's light and strong.
It's like these people who spend £300 on a driver for their golf bag, then find I still smash it further than them with my £80 job. ;)
Don't blame the tools...
-
squeaky not blaming no tools same as i put earlier perhaps i went ott on prices . just trying to find out what people really want from a pole . you want light and strong . taken on board . do you want internal external hose . do you want trigger or tap at the bottom . what heights do you want to reach . if i dont ask i dont find out if i dont find out how do i get a good pole produced . thats why i need feed back once i no what im up against then i can take it from there . dont knock me for trying mate .
-
My pole's about £300's worth. (not what I paid ;))
It's 25ft Carbon Fibre, hose externally (just as I like it).
No taps and triggers and connecters to faff with.
Light, strong, perfect for the job.
If I needed a longer one I'd just buy extra pieces at £80-odd each.
That's all you need.
-
What can you supply thats different? You want light? buy a Superlight you want strong? buy a Facelift carbon (or maybe the SL-X you want cheap? then buy glassfibre If you want really cheap and really light (30') then buy a fishing pole if your still not sure then buy a Hybrid. There is so much choice at the moment that you would need to come up with something pretty amazing or different - have you?
-
you wouldnt get a golf gti for the sam price as a fiesta would you .
If you only comparing it to a golf gti then count me out, I would want the maclaren of the pole world
-
I Paid alot for me 56ft facelift i call it the Bentley of poles ;D
-
I've got a Bentley brush, and I bet it cost me a lot less than your pole. ;)
-
lol yeah i reckon :D

A simple case of you get what you pay for, fiber glass poles do the job but you feel like you`ve grafted when you get home, good carbon poles do the same job but allow you to work longer.
