Title: window cleaner falls 40 ish storeys

the window cleaning brothers one died and the other has just woken up (poor sod) only to hear his brother died window cleaning.  :'(

Its an old story the platform collapsed when they stepped into it and had no ropes connected, but great that one survived.
The lesson for me was to read today that 50% of falls from 3 stories is fatal. get a wfp and save your life.

I'm ex military. Done the rock climbing, abseiling and parachuting. But I've never been as scared as when we used to use ladders and had a few 3 storey houses on the books. One slight mistake and it would be certain serious injury or death. You don't get any other options at that height.

They were over 40 storeys up would have to be one big pole

I know it is an old story, but the guy woke up yesterday which I find amasing the he did,
